Dementia affects over 850,000 people in the UK and in North Wales alone there are over 11,000 people living with dementia. We are now looking to build on the first steps we have made to see if there is a potential market for our solution.

The initiative called, ‘A Cute Solution to Acute Anxiety in Dementia’ was run by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales through the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI). Our solution involved the development of an App to assist dementia sufferers and their families on making to journey to and from hospital appointments.

In addition to the great opportunity this programme brought, it has been really enjoyable co-creating in this very testing of conditions.

It has been a real pleasure in working with the team to develop solutions for anxiety in dementia.
